Groups
Under the Groups tab, Directors can view, sort, and create groups.
- Groups can be sorted by clicking on the Name or Grade Level column headers.
- When you move your mouse over a group, a number of Action Icons will appear which allow for viewing, editing, emailing or deactivating the group (for more information, see the Action Icons article).
Deleting a Group
To delete a group from Sparkhouse Online, click on the red X Action Icon on the group line. Deleting a group will not delete users or people from your Sparkhouse Online account.
Activating and Deactivating Groups¶
To deactivate a group, click on the light switch action button on the group line. * Deactivating the group makes the group unavailable for scheduling when creating an event.
- Deactivating groups can be useful if you want to preserve past information about a group without deleting the group from Spark Online.
- Only active groups can be added to events.
Example: Vacation Bible School. If your church is using Spark Rotation content for summer programming, creating new groups for that program might be useful. When the summer is over, deactivate the summer groups. When next summer comes around, reactivate to modify your attendee lists.
