Sparkhouse Online's Home Page provides a nearly identical view to everyone from your church who logs in. The only difference is that Directors are provided some links at the top that no other Role has:
People & Groups
, and
Admin
. Directors also see, when necessary, a panel at the top right listing people who have requested access to your church's Sparkhouse Online Sunday School subscription site.
The main area of the Home page provides a listing of classes and events planned and published using Sparkhouse Online Sunday School. There are three views of this listing:
All Classes & Events
¶
This view lists all classes and events that have been planned in Sparkhouse Online Sunday School for your church.
Use the small calendar to view events for past or upcoming months.
Click on any event in the list to navigate to the Event Planning page.
Assigned Classes & Events
¶
This view shows you only classes and events for which you've been assigned a leadership role. This makes it easy to keep track of when you're assigned to do something!
When a Leader is assigned to an event or a group a Leader belongs to is assigned to participate in an event, the event will appear in the Leader’s “Assigned Classes & Events” view of this panel.
Use the small calendar to view events for past or upcoming months.
Click on any event in the list to navigate to the Event Overview page.
My Family’s Classes & Events

This view of classes & events shows you everything in which either you or a Child Family Member is assigned or registered or participate in.

Church Announcements
¶
Church Announcements
is an area of the homepage where Directors can post information for all of their Sparkhouse Online participants. Announcements do not get sent to users’ email addresses, but they do show up for everyone who logs into your Sparkhouse Online Sunday School subscription site.
The most recent announcement will always appear at the top of the list.
Alerts
¶
Alerts are important “To Do's” that pertain to people management and appear automatically for Directors only.
When a person requests access to your church’s Sparkhouse Online subscription, when people have registered for open events, or when a Leader has declined an event assignment, an orange “People Waiting” alert will appear at the top of the Director’s home page.
To take action on an alert, click on the link under the “People Waiting” header.

Register for Open Events
¶
When a Director creates an event, s/he can open the event for registration. When this is done, the event appears on the home page under “Register for Open Events," and users on the account can sign up.
To register yourself or a family member for an open event, click on the name of the event.
You will be redirected to the Class/Event Overview page where you can select which family members to register.
Sparkhouse Announcements
¶
Sparkhouse Announcements are notices from sparkhouse to the entire Sparkhouse Online community. These might include site updates, new content, or other time-sensitive information.
